What has been the most fun, craziest, or most unique job you have ever had?
The craziest job I have ever had is the one I have now. I work as an LNA which is a license nursing assistant. I care for the elderly and the sick at two nursing homes. My job is crazy, fun, and unique in so many ways. I love my job and I have from day one. The bond I have with the residents at the nursing home is one I will never get elsewhere. I help take care of them and provide for them when their families can’t. To me these residents are like my grandparents. I am their family when their family is not around. If you had to give one piece of advice to the younger generation what would it be?
If I could give one piece of advice to the younger generation I would simply say embrace you. Learn to love yourself in every way possible. Don’t try to be like anyone else. There is no one like you in this world so embrace it. Nobody is perfect and that is okay. Love who you are and don’t change for anyone but yourself. Life is too short to focus on the negatives so embrace the positives. What is your greatest achievement?
My greatest achievement would have to be getting my LNA at the age of 17. I was in my junior year of high school when I started the class. Studying like crazy on top of my junior year, applying for college, working, playing sports, and trying to have a social life was hard. But I got through it. I learned time management which has helped me today. What are your hobbies?
I have many hobbies that I enjoy doing. My hobbies include: Hiking, snowboarding, snow machining, mudding, kayaking, boating, playing with my hedgehog, baking, painting and volunteering at the nursing home. |
