What is your college major and what interests you most in school?
My major in college is Safety and Occupational Health Applied Sciences with a minor in Environmental Studies. My school interests are the on-campus clubs I am involved in which include Habitat for Humanity and American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE). I also enjoy being a Keene State Orientation leader and working at my on-campus job at the information desk.. What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
People would be surprised to discover that I want to work in construction. My father worked in construction for a number of years before he had a back injury causing permanent nerve damage. His past motivates me to want to continue in the field and use the knowledge gained in college to make the occupation safer. If I had to give one piece of advice to the younger generation what would it be? I would encourage the younger generation to find a passion in life and work hard to obtain their goals. If you find a career that you love, you will never work a day in your life.
How would you define success?
Success is the ability to simply refuse to give up, to have goals so strong that obstacles and failure act as motivation to pick yourself up and try again. Success is happiness and being able to love yourself. |
